Flower "Hello"

This card I created using the sketch at http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/. Had so many ideas going for this fun sketch since it lent itself to so many options. It was a very easy sketch to put together,  I finally decided on this "Hello" card and I really am happy with how it turned out, it looks really nice in person. I couldn't get the colors right with my camera or scanner. :( :(
Embossing - Darice "Daisy folder".
Butterfly - Martha Stewart punch, added gems.
Pennant - I hand cut on my trimmer.
Sentiment - Stamping Up "Endless Birthday Wishes" stamp.
Added a cloth-covered button to flower center.

This Bud's For You

We are  to make a card at The Male Room Challenge with the theme being "Drinks". This is one for a male turning twenty-one years old and celebrating his "first beer". This is the first time I attempt to cut out a card using two different size Spellbinders. One to cut out the hole on the front of the base card using my Cuttlebug. Another using both Spellbinders together to cut out a frame to go on top of the hole cut out. The beer mug is actually on the inside of the card.
Beer Mug - Download, added photo corners.
Pattern Cardstock -  DCWV Limited Edition "Fiesta Forever" stack.
Sentiments - The word "Chill" is cut from a sheet in the "Fiesta Forever" stack, with assorted sentiments on it. The "Celebrate" circle I typed, printed out on the computer. Then I cut out the circle with a Spellbinder, and matted with chipboard for depth. I actually had this soda/beer tab in my Brads box...came in handy!

Baby Boy in a Z

Gee, did I have a hard time picking a fold card to create for the challenge this week at "cardz4guys". I have not made many of these type cards. So, off to Utube to check out some fold cards. I appreciate and thank the DT members for their inspiration. I chose the "Z" fold card since I wasn't too sure of tackling a harder one. :)
*Base card - Regular Navy Blue cardstock.
*Panels - Is a heavy cardstock sort of beige in color, specked with assorted colors and gold foil bits.
*Embossed Panels - Darice "Baby" folder.
*Front Stamp - Clear stamp by "studio g" assorted "Baby" set
*Center Sentiment - Computer-printed and cut out with a Cottage Kutz "Stitched Square"die.

Condolences

Most crafters agree that a male themed card is very hard to create, but I believe a Sympathy card is way harder. I don't make them very often because this type of card is usually bought with a lot of thought in choosing one. This simple card I made I believe is suitable to have on hand for when you need a card...like right now, today.
*Sketch Shape- I started with a plain white card for the base, I then cut two of the design shapes and matted the white embossed one to a slightly larger floral cut shape with cardstock from the DCWV "Pocket Blossom" stack...this seems to be my "go to" stack for floral patterns, lately, I love it.
*Sentiment - From Close to My Heart "Sincere Expressions" acrylic stamp set.
*Embossing - Darice "Large Petal" folder. Added yellow pearls  to flower centers.
*Flowers - Recollections Assorted Flower tin. Added a metal gold button.
*Corners - Is a Fiskars "Heritage" three-way  corner punch.

Life is Better...

I made this fold card following some inspiration posted by Design Team member Cindy Vernon at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. She provided some great and simple instructions on how to make it. Give it a try! Here is the link to her video: http://cindyvernon.blogspot.com/.
*Flip Flop Paper - 12"x12" DCWV "All Seasons" stack.
*Striped and Confetti Papers - Recollections "Paddywack 6"x6" stack.
* Pink and Beige Solid Panels - I simply embossed with a Darice "Clouds" folder.
*Flip Flops - Cricut Explore image, printed and cut from the "Summer Day Dreams" cartridge. I matted them with chipboard, used 3-D tape to pop them, finished off with blue gems to the tops for some Bling. Printed and cut the Flip Flops smaller for the sentiment.
*Sentiment - I wrote and printed out on the computer.
*Scalloped Square - I used a Spellbinder die.

Keep on Dancing!

This card was created from the challenge this week... "Inspired by Music/Anything Goes" theme at https://qkrstampede.blogspot.com/.
I found these very happy dancing cows image on the internet, with the credit for the drawing going to the artist's name at the bottom right of the drawing...Tyler.
Image - I added some glitter to the tutus, ears, tail tips, and wands with a  GellyRoll clear star glitter pen.
Sentiment - I thought up, printed, and downloaded from the computer onto the image.
Wand - Is a  cut up Kabob stick, I painted it with a gold marker pen, added a gold star and some gold embroidery thread.
Ribbon - Is a narrow sheer, light purple ribbon from my ribbon stash, which I simply crisscrossed.
Embossing - Used Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" and  Darice "Flowers & Leaves" folders.
Song Inspiration - "Keep on Dancing" by The Gentrys
Here is the cutest video on Utube with a collage of TV stars dancing to this very catchy song:

Butterfly Shaker

Ok, Ladies, you have been warned!!  I have been making cards for over five years and this will be only my second attempt at making a shaker card. But, over at this week's challenge at http://feeling-sketchy.blogspot.com/ the sketch is perfect for a creating a shaker card. As you will be able to tell...it didn't go too well. I am even ashamed to post this card, but I wanted to challenge myself and give it "that old college try". If you look close enough (but, please, don't!), you will see quite a few boo-boos. I filled the plastic cup with all kinds of bling, glued it down, flipped it over and BAM, everything went all over my desk...uuuuuugh!! I only have today to work on this card and no time to re-do it.
I embossed the yellow pattern paper from the DCWV "Pocket Blossom" stack with a Cuttlebug "Chicken Vines" folder and the background purple paper with a Cuttlebug "Leafy Vines" folder. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch, and added some Bling here and there.

Elegant Black

This week at http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.ca/ we have a very elegant sketch by Melissa Craig. I thought of a black background right away because I initially was going for a guy card, but boy, did it morph into something way more different!
* Envelope and Base Card -  Are from Michael's all black set
* Silver Embossed Floral Panel - Single sheet rack from Michael's by The Paper Company. This is an almost tin-like, very thick paper, it was not very easy to cut...took me two tries on my paper cutter, ended up cutting it with the scissors. Added lace around the edges.
* Flowers - "Spring Flowers" set of nine pieces by Recollections
* Sentiment - Printed on my computer and cut out with a Spellbinder tag die.
* Flowers: At bottom corners  are "All That Bling" by Jolee's. I also used a scalloped corner punch by Fiskar's on the bottom corners, but don't show up very well. :(:(

Baby Girl Pink

I wanted to enter this week's challenge at http://cagichallenge.blogspot.com/ . The sketch for this card was morphing in my head as I went, with really no idea how it would end up by the time I was finished with it.  The challenge is to use dies in creating our card, I am pretty satisfied with the outcome.
* Papers - All from my scrap box.
* Corners - I used a Fiskars corner punch, on the pattern paper, which I embossed with a Cuttlebug "Cane Back Chair" folder.
* Squares - I used a Provo Craft 2x2" metal die for the green squares and the center pink "Baby Girl" square. The "Love" and "Baby Buggy" are  Cuttlebug mini embossing squares I cut out with the same metal die as above.
* "Baby Girl" sentiment - Is computer-generated using my system "Curlz" font.
* Embellishments - I added a metal charm of baby footprints, and silver brads to the buggy wheels and handle.
* Pink Bow - I made out of sheer organza ribbon.

Goofy and Friends

Made this card for the challenge this week at http://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/ ...with the theme "Maps/Coordinates". Not sure what is meant by this but, maybe, a card with a map and items that relate to a map...hummm!?? The Design Members posted some awesome cards, so I went with their inspirations...hoping I got it right! :)
* Map - Computer download and matted with navy color cardstock.
* Goofy and Friends - Is an SVG image I found on-line and cut out on my Explore. I popped it with 3-D squares for depth.
* Sentiment - Is a Mickey Mouse font from my file, which I wrote and printed out on the "cloud" paper pattern, using my Explore writing feature. I added silver Brads for the headlights and smaller gold Brads for the signal lights.

Moon Baby

Over at The Paper Players Challenge this week we have a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I chose to do the Baby, Die Cut and the Color Blue. I don't have a baby die cut so I used a cut image from my Cricut Baby Steps cartridge, called "Moon Baby". It is such a cute image! I incorporated the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge with Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2's sketch for this week.
* Papers - "Cloud" is a single sheet and the rest are solid color cardstocks from my Scrap Box.
* Stars - Are puffy embellishments from "Freckled Fawn Co.".
* Ribbon - "It's a Boy" is by Offray from Hancock Fabrics.
* Dark Panel - Behind the baby is actually Dark Blue (I should have used a lighter shade) which I embossed with a Darice "Stars" folder, but stars were a "no show" on the photo :( :(
Moon Baby - The cloud, moon and baby are all images from the Cricut "Baby Steps" cartridge and cut on my Explore and layered.
Here is the sketch and my card:

Wishing You the Happiest

LOVED the sketch by Jessi Fogan at http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.ca/ this week.Wishing her a most enjoyable leave and hope she returns, soon!
So many options for this simple card, it can be created into a funny, comforting, congrats or encouraging card.  The sentiment I chose can still be used for different occasions, too, like birthday, marriage, new Baby or job. I am happy with how this card turned out.
Gold Foil Floral Cardstock - DCWV "Pocket Blossom" stack matted on black cardstock. There is not any black on this all gold foil cardstock, although it appears like there is...sorry.
Center Panel - Sentiment is from a set of 10 from the "Wishing You" collection by Verve Stamps. I rounded the corners for a softer look. This was the first time using my Perfect Stamp pad on a card, so much easier when using acrylic stamps.
Corner Flower - Cut with a Recollection mini punch and matted with gold foil cardstock.
Buttons - From my Button jar collection. I added black embroidery thread to the center button.
